1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Top Taxi Melbourne website and booking services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Booking and Service

  • A booking constitutes a request for transport services and is subject to driver availability.
  • Top Taxi Melbourne will make every reasonable effort to fulfil bookings, but does not guarantee availability at all times.
  • Estimated arrival and travel times are approximate and may vary based on traffic, weather, and road conditions.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate pickup and drop-off addresses and being present at the pickup location at the agreed time.

3. Fares and Payment

  • All fares are calculated based on the Victorian taxi fare schedule or as quoted at the time of booking.
  • Additional charges may apply for tolls, airport surcharges, waiting time, or after-hours travel.
  • Payment must be made at the conclusion of the trip via your selected payment method (cash, card, EFTPOS, or corporate account).
  • Pre-booked fixed-fare trips are subject to the agreed route. Any detours requested by the passenger may incur additional charges.

4. Cancellations

You may cancel a booking at any time before the driver arrives at the pickup location. A cancellation fee may apply if the driver has already been dispatched. For scheduled (Book for Later) bookings, we request at least 2 hours notice for cancellations.

5. Passenger Conduct

  • Passengers must comply with all applicable Victorian road and transport laws, including wearing seatbelts.
  • Smoking, consumption of alcohol, and illegal substances are strictly prohibited in all vehicles.
  • Any damage to the vehicle caused by a passenger will be the financial responsibility of that passenger.
  • The driver reserves the right to refuse service if the passenger behaves in a threatening, dangerous, or abusive manner.

6. Luggage and Belongings

Top Taxi Melbourne is not liable for loss or damage to luggage or personal belongings left in vehicles. Passengers are responsible for ensuring all items are removed at the end of the trip. If you have lost an item, please contact us as soon as possible and we will make reasonable efforts to assist.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Top Taxi Melbourne will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, including delays, missed flights, or appointments. Our total liability is limited to the fare paid for the relevant trip.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
